Only replaced half the chassis and installed another gearbox and engine!! I'm trying to do it all for under a grand. I think I'll make it!

Enjoy the pics! I'll get more on soon!

Having issues with uploading more than 1 pic on here, so just created a web album! It will do for now. More pics to follow shortly!

A few hours work gone into that! Looking very good and love that paint job :)

I don't know how you've done so much working in the open with the weather we've had over the past 12 months.

Cheers Landraver! It certainly isn't easy working on grass. Took us over 3 hours just to install the gearbox!! And that was with a metal plate under the Landy! Still got some issues with the handbrake mechanism slipping off, but apart from that she'll soon be put back together again. Spent yesterday grinding off the crap under tub and then I'll grey tetraschutz it.
Dr - It was the paint job that made me buy it!! Although it's changing anyway...

I found a disc off a motorbike in the back of midgets landy :p if she doesn't want it I'm turning it into a disc handbrake :D

Could look into it if you want to make sure yours stays put ?

fantastic pix, you put my piddly slow work rate to shame :)

dig the paint job, brings back memories of "daktari" when i was a kid.

Looking good joe. I'm surprised you're replacing the bulkhead! It looks(ed) pretty decent. I'm thinking of painting mine in a sandstone/desert sand sort of colour. Maybe...

looks ok from the front but its well and truly gone around the hinges and some areas would be tissue paper if shot blasted, the middle and round the vents is fine, for someone with welding and metalwork skills it would be fairly easy to resuscitate, sadly i have neither.

Ah ok! Well hope it's going well mate. Looking good anyway! All in good time. I'll hopefully be shultzing the tub this weekend if the weather is decent and then just need to get some corner braces. Any hints or tips from anyone about repairing bent and damaged skin? One corner of the tub has been really hit up and twisted, cos of lack of a brace!
