I have a 1970 series 11A swb, ex Army. What rifle would have been used from that time by our Soldiers, just wondering if I can buy a deactivated one, all so on the Heritage certificate it says it was at central Army vehicle depot , Hilton, Derbyshire, where it went from there I have no idea.
Thanks
Chris

Mostly SLR GPR and a stick with a balloon on the end to remind the driver at night.

All I need to do is find one, I am guessing these are very collectible
I would more likely say that people do not want them around their houses these days as they only bring unwanted interest if you are known to have one. Deactivated can soon become activated again.

No idea, I have never felt the need to try to find one. They were made in huge numbers though so there should be plenty of deactivated ones about.

Possible he can get deactivated or on the African market ex British colonial country. They are still in use and a darling of a kicker.

Yes I did see a wooden stock one, unfortunately it was sold. Deactivated are perfectly legal even here in the red tape UK so long as they have the new deactivation certificate with them.

That is unless you have a £1000 in used notes and dont mind a cheapy chinese replica that might blow yer hand off or blind you :D:D:D
Ere Mr Chin spares in Shude Hill and Cheetham Hill are excellent service for the British army. How else are we meant to train troops for street fighting. Not forgetting regular meals and laundry service

Damn right, i never forget going to a club in Manchester with a few lads.
We ended up going to watch the Orbital playing the Apollo there if I remember right.
We walked out to go to another club after the gig and we ended up chatting to these lads by the burger bar outside.
He mentioned that his mate had just had a gun pulled out on him, it was fact as they were on the phones to their mates to sort it.
Thing is they did not look freaked out at all, just spoke like it was nothing out the ordinary.
Needless to say we left pretty sharpish , Mancs great people in general though - top laugh

I like the wood stock ones, which I think someone said would be more in keeping with my 1970 Land Rover, price is an eye opener, I still think I am going to look for a wood stock one, they are £250 if the wife is looking.
