Sadly all to common before series 3's became tax exempt :( Not unheard of for mot testers to refuse to mot in the past but obviously they are exempt nowadays

Series 3 bulkhead could have been fitted to replace a rotten series 2A version, same with wings farmers did all sorts to keep them on the road.
I personally would not touch it.

I worry for newbies to Series who see these and don't realise the potential problems. There are some 2As on e-bay that look straight, right bulkhead, dash, plates but others like these two that are at best bitzas which would take a lot of work to get back to original and at worst are simply not the vehicle they claim to be.

The two of them are series 3 with 2a number plates. The razor bonnet was found on early 3's The bonnet hinge on the second truck is 3. There is nothing on either that say 2a to me.
I have a 63 2a.

I think a good look at the chassis numbers (or lack of them) would be in order before considering anything else.
