i recon its nicked and to sell it he's taken the vin plates of a scraped series in a bid to swap the log books and sell it.

im on the mini forum and i saw this the other day, same principle tax exempt scraped car vin plates bolted onto a nicked new motor.1968 TAX EXEMPT MORRIS MINI 1275 GREEN COOPER REPLICA 1.3i NOT COOPER S LEATHER! | eBay

That is a late 90's MPI cooper (one of the last 500 looking at the plate!) tres dodgy. Same goes for the Defender too!!!
