I cant see how that could be legal as everything has changed and the points system would require a DOT insepection resulting in a Q plate.

Exactly, and hence the original question. If it was legal and reasonably easy everybody would be at it for free road tax and classic insewerance.

Ive sent him a question asking if it been dot tested or if my insurance and mot centre are going to have a fit when i crash it :)
 
Well, as I thought. no reply to my email to the seller. Somebody is not going to be too happy when reality dawns. Oh well caveat emptor. BUT it could be your stolen LR.
 
Reply i got was all work done legitimately by berkshire landrover and they handled the paperwork .........

Interesting. I can't see how it could possibly comply with current rules/laws. If it could then anyone with a ratty old LR could build themselves a near new motor that would be tax exempt, LEZ compliant, benefit from lower rates of insurance, and even be exempt from MOTs if the latest government idea were to be introduced.
