also got another starter motor with it in good nick, 4 additional tyres, and a pair of series 2 wings
 
that looks alright, not sure on the bumper and rock sliders though, they look far too areodynamic on a series!! :D

so what is it? series 1 an a half??
 
im going with very early series 2 with the wrong plate on the interior - that is the bit from an old series 1.

wil lget hte white spirit and wire brush out - see if i can read the chassis number from that chassis at some point
 
Looks good.... Series are much better than Defenders :p Hope you are going to put it back to normal and get rid of the steps, bumper and series 3 wings :)

Have the dumb irons have been ****ed about with to get that bumper on or something?

Because the front panel looks veryyyy far back!


Also... Have you taken the roof off and windscreen down yet? If not... Why not??!?! Tis great fun :p Might want some sunglasses though :p

Its missing a piece of body trim that goes between the wings and in front of the front panel thats all. there are 2 types, sloped (military) or curved (civvy). Looks Good Carpy.

Are you happy with it? Cos thats all that really matters.

Oppps... Forgot about the front valace :eek: Did not know there are two types though... Got a picture of the other type?

got series 2 wings in the back, so yep when i got some time they will be going on

i havent taken the roof off and the windscreen down purely coz its raining like theres no tomorrow at the moment, so doesnt seem appropriate just yet!

and yea all the ugly iron will be coming off at some stage

love it - awesome thing. individual wiper motors are the dogs bollocks

and yes - this is true!

anyone know any good insurance companies for insuring it - i got it on my current one temporarily - but age restricts massively the ability to get classic!
 
mine is with footman james classic policy with discount form the series 2 club. is only just more than my little pug, even with the v8 declared
