Hi folks, might have been covered before but......
Currently have 17 inch alloys on my Freelander with 225x55x17 tyres and managed to find some 15inch steel wheels with 195x80x15 winter tyres. The question is will they fit with no modification?
How can you tell it's an EU4, and not an EU2/EU3, as GVW's for both are in the 06MY handbookIt also depends on its GVW.
According to Land Rover, as my GVW is 2505kg I can't fit 15" wheels.
I do however have an '06 HSE TD4 auto.
The earlier ones which are I think are 2080 GVW can use 15" wheels. Look at the plate by the drivers door (or is it the front passenger door.

The higher GVW is for EU4
Does the EU number refer to the engine?
In the handbook for a 2006MY it gives two columns for axle/gvw depending on EU2/EU3 or EU4, but doesn't say what the EU numbers mean.

Intresting that even though the GVW is nearly 500kg higher, the GTW remains the same at 4080kg, potential maximum trailer weight of just over 1500kg.
That is from the handbook though, not the plate on the vehicle.
