Hi, I work as a mobile mechanic mostly on Defenders and Discos.
I'm trying to find a good quality 12v pump that will cope with transfering gearbox oil from a container to the transfer box and diffs etc. Most of the ones on eBay or on line seem to be for engine oil changes and fuel.
Does anyone know of anything?
Thanks

I picked up an old 1960 ish manual pump a few years back. 1 turn of the handle gives an exact amount although I forget what, a quart I thing.
Can get a pic if you want?
They are still about on eBay etc.

Anything that will shift engine oil should be OK for the ATF/MTF as the viscosity is almost on a par with a 15/40 - ish, and if they work on marine Hurth gearboxes (AFT to specification DEXRON II spec), they should work OK on Fender gearbox oil.
These marine pumps are readily available from the Bay of Fleas.

Oilsafe manual pump, bloody good and last forever, will pump from atf right up to 85/140 with no issues.
No power needed, clean and easy to use, can buy the pots on their own with lids so you can have one pot for each type of oil.
Not cheap at about 100 quid, probably more now, looks professional as well.
Ive had mine for well over a decade and still works well.

I think the difflock forum stocks them in their shop.
