done the search and got the wiring pics for the socket , does it mean I can plug the wires into the loom where my 12n plug is or do I have relays and fusess to worry about fitting ? This is into an ex mod defender 90.
cheers
mech skills limited and eletrics even worse so all help warmly welcomed , **** taking accepted cause this is LZ. :D

wint have thought so as you have ign feeds and battery feeds . you need a ign feed for terminals 2 and 6

a direct from battery for number 4

numbers 7 and 3 are earths
and i don't think yule be bothered about the others. or will you?

Just splice straight in to the harness. I usually do it at the O/S rear where the Harness appears for the rear lights.

whoops thought he meant ordinary trailer socket as in 12N. I shall go and purge meslf.

Just looked at me wiring diagram and it shows a purple wire as been the auxillary connection for the 12S and a Green/Brown wire going to the Reverse light and a Black for the earth. All the other wires are wired to the 12N socket.

so when the titill say 12s you think he meant 12n?
yer soft in the heed lad, soft in the heed or yer hung over

Not had me Coffee yet. But too make amends fer me glaring error he can have this.

Pah bloody cowboys. bring yer main cable up behind the bit of tin over the rear offside lights, get some solder on bullet connectors an do the job proply.

you're confused? you wannna try reading yer last post.

anyway if you do a search i posted whats whats fer the 12n

if you can't take a live feed from the battery and stick a fuse in it yer really shouldn't be doing this

aye but naw. ah mean yer 12s terminal numbers dint match up most other folk's 12s terminal numbers. most others have them numbered 1-7 not the same as a 12n which your's is
