Advert in the wrong location, as having a senior moment in locating how to post under 'LRs for sale'.....doh

I am considering selling my Defender as an incomplete project. I have lost momentum on the rebuild, and the reality is that this vehicle when completed, is unlikely to get driven by me.
I thought it would make a great RV/mobile tent, but it is 50 years since I last camped! It is now a rolling chassis, and a good time to consider selling it, me thinks.

I bought it in 2013, and it remained parked up and exposed until 2019, when I retired, and I then started stripping it.
Most of the donkey work has been done.
It was taken back to its chassis, which was repaired, then blasted/galvanised/powder coated by British Metal Treatments.
The Fab shop that did the chassis repairs ahead of the coating also fitted new floor panels.
With the chassis back, I have installed the engine/gearbox and axles back, all were hand cleaned, and painted. The engine sump was removed/painted/refitted.
All springs and steering parts were powder coated. As were the rocker covers and inlet manifolds.
Brakes and master cylinder overhauled with new pipes at the wheels. It has new turrets, shock absorbers and bolts etc. I have receipts for nearly £2k in spares. The petrol tanks (x2) were painted and refitted.

It had an LPG system, but I have done nothing to the huge tank it had, other than empty it!
The original canvas flap was repaired (it had shrunk!) and an additional short canvas produced for the cab only. All done by Kirklands in Yarmouth. All brackets and the substantial steel parts of the tow bar assembly were cadmium coated.

I have lots of photos from the restoration, including some taken by the fab shop during the replacement of front RH outrigger and patching a hole in the chassis behind that outrigger. Plus patch repair to LH outrigger. I will add these after I figure out to place advert in the correct location!

This Rapier was used by 27 Squadron RAF Regiment at Leuchars, for most of its life, and has only 41,836 km (26k miles) on the clock.

There's the rub: I don't want to sell it to some tightwad overall wearing Landy loving oik.
I am aiming for one of those Barbour wearing multi vehicle owning mega rich guys that does not want his hooray henry shooting friends in his £75k 6.0L V8 Defender rebuild.

The guys on our shoot run their £100k Defenders like muddy wellies and done give tuppence if the lab smears clay across the dashboard. The ones who fastidiously look after them cannot afford to take a bath on resale value.

Also thanks to v8250 for the FB tip, I will look at that via the missus's FB account.
So here's a few photos: The complete vehicle (minus wheels) is before strip down.
The photos with the shiny bits is the rebuild......as far as I got.
Disappointingly, even under a car port: things still rust, including painted parts, hence the denso tape on the crankshaft pulley

I should mention that these FFRs were fitted with a winch as standard. I bought this minus the winch and bumper, which I suspect may be on an off roading LZ members vehicle! I do have a replacement winch, but it is not the OE make. I have yet to buy the bumper.

That's one of the upsides of mega wealth, do they pay poor people to go around dinging them to gain that authentic look?
