See the listing on ebay has ended. Still want to swap? Got a 1984 s3 safari 2.25p with lots of spare parts. Needs a bit of work as well though. Still got original engine etc :)
 
3500 plus my s3 109......nah the s3 is worth more than that. was thinking more like 2k and the s3, I'll even give a Christmas tree and a bottle of wine with it if you'd like :)
 
that and looking at the body its very battered ;) a grand between them might not be so far out depending on the S3 state
 
commercial insurance.... No just me and my mad landy loving ideas. Will use it for my outdoor comp as well.

As for the state of the s3... leaks oil (about a pint per 1000 miles), cold and wet inside when it rains (but that is just a series thing), heater keeps your legs from getting frost bite but gloves are required. bits all around the car have been repainted in various colors (see my pers pic), 4th cylinder miss-fires at times (might be distrb. cap or will try a shorter plug), 4 speed gearbox with overdrive, drives other wise well, starts at the first turn (even in this cold we have up North), chassis nothing rotten, some small repairs on it with the last MOT, new 'handmade after the originals' front leaf springs. New starter motor as backup (still in the oil paper) and lots of other series 2/3 spare bits.
And obviously as it is a series, has a bit of a vortex draining the fuel tank (the faster you drive). Ow and got about 97.000 miles on the clock (all documents available)

:) so.... straight swap ?
 
Hmmm 2k max between I'd say given that its missing and not being arsed to look at the pics for a state of bodywork etc
 
the panels are in a decent state. just the steel under frames of the doors are needing new box frames welded into it, but seen defenders in a more sorry state than mine.

when i tried to get domestic insurance on a 130 it failed as its deemed as a comercial vehicle so it might be worth finding out if you can insure it.....

i seen a better 1 go for 1500.....keep hunting if you really want a 130 cos there are some out there.

my question as to who fitted the 200tdi engine has also not been answered,i dont think they were fitted in F reg vehicles...
 
cheers Bob. Might be pos to put on my comp name. I'm always hunting as most of us. Anyone a p/x on the s3 for a 130 or 90 tdi ?

hahaha well if you've seen better go for £1500 ill give you £2000 for them all day long ! 130s with a defender 200tdi fitted 4 near new bf goodrich tyres and 12 months mot on for £1500 hahaha you should be on the telly:D:D:D
 
i sold one last year a D reg to a bloke in london bulkhead shot doors needed replacing on 2.5 turbo diesel chassis needed patching up ! and he made the offer of £1500, this needs painting yes but that aside its in very good order i did put a small patch on the rear crossmember for the mot and one on top of the front o/s outrigger but the rest of the chassis is mint.
