Is the windscreen hinge on a 110 attached to the windscreen frame permanently or does it I bolt?
I know it unbolts form the bulkhead (which I need to weld a top corner onto) but am trying to work out if I can just remove the hinge or if I need to remove the whole screen.

It unbolts.
Where is the top bolt hidden? I have worked out the lower two bolts are the same as hold the internal screw bracket on. But cannot initially see a top bolt. Will have to remove some trip to investigate properly.

Well I have found the bolt and am appalled that it is a large crosshead that of course would not come undone and with a little persuasion from an impact driver promptly rounded out so will now need to be drilled off and then removed from the bracket. on the plus side I now know how to remove it, on the negative it has uncovered more rust I did not want to have to repair and to do a full job is likely to be a windscreen off job. I may just plate the front and see if that will get me by as I have a spare bulkhead in the garage i am going to get galvanized and fit in time.

They aren't that difficult to drill out, using cobalt drills. If you go steady at it, drill a small central hole about 5mm deep, and then gradually increase drill sizes, you will find the head of the bolt comes off before that long.
I have rarely managed to undo those, or the bolts that holds the hinges on.
But as the head is made of soft cheese, drilling them off is not too difficult either.

I am more hopeful for the bolt holding the lower part of the hinges bracket on as these look to be allen head bolts so must have been replaced when the bulkhead was done. if not these will also need drilling out.

Yes. More likely to get a result with Allens, I should think.

That looks nasty, doubt anyone can prescribe a cream for that. I did laugh when I chased a leak to the windscreen hinge to find LR had used a large screw :D

I will be seeing if i can replace it with something that is now a scew head, I am sure there will be a similar headed allen bolt or similar I can use instead on reassembly, but currently have larger problems chasing a clutch issue.
