Hi there, I'm going to be ply lining the back of my 110 out this week hopefully, but there is 1 of the vents above the back door in the roof missing. What are they actually for? Will it make it mist up loads if I ply over em?
Ta!

To let air out?
I'm not entirely sure if they are cross ventilation vents. If they are, they are for letting the air from the heater flow through the cab freely, otherwise the heater will be even more useless than usual.

Fitted properly I have never known one leak from there.

If you have a well sealed car - doors that fit etc see just how much faster the air flows through the heater vents with the widow opened an inch or so.

Pretty dramatic - if your truck is not full of holes?

I reckon it was a cost cutting exercise by LR in 1990 after all they had managed without them prior to 1988.

So if you have they are pretty rare with only three years of factory fit.

Haha the heater blows alright, il try the window trick later to see if it actually is full of holes! There are 2 bolt holes where bolts have gone wandering.both vent holes are taped up at the mo. Il take the tape off and see what difference it makes and get some new vents it it dose t mAke it any colder!

Mine is an 87 110 and has them, assuming the roof is original.
