i'm new to this site but am hoping someone can help me with some info?...

i need to know the dimensions of the rear tub of a 110, i'm looking for an EX mod 110 which will also be used for work, so need to work out the volume of the rear load space, i sell logs and just to be sure it wont be over loaded weight wise once it is full?
as i don't really want to pay a fortune for a heavy duty 3,500kg VERY HIGH mileage ex utility 110 if a 3,050kg mod one will be legal once full or full-ish?

i can't find all the following info anywhere online:

1, length of the rear body (internally at body cappings/waist height)?
2, width of same?
3, height, top of seat/wheel box to top of tub?
4, height floor to top of seat/wheel box?
5, width of floor between seat/wheel boxes?

if anyone has a tape measure and five minutes to spare it would help me out a lot,...
either that or a 110 somewhere in ceredigion i can measure myself?

Hi. Sorry i can't help with the dimensions you need, I converted my ex Mod 110 to a Hi cap but I can tell you this from my experience. The 3500 kg GVW 110 isnt that much different than a standard 3050kg version. The early 110s had plating top and bottom of the chassis which was deleted on newer ones, so you don't need that bit. Fit the inner helper springs to the rear and heavy duty springs to the front. Send off to DVLA with the new plate details, you may need to get it inspected but thats no great problem.

I'll have a measure of mine later and slap up some vague scribble.

didn't think they were much different, is there a heavy duty rear axle? Salisbury with disc brakes? still do-able tho!
i'd been thinking of that, would like the extra payload just in case, just need to make sure there's enough weight (spare wheel etc) up front, so weight is spread over both axles.

have you heard of ppl getting vehicles re plated for GVW???
i spoke to vosa dvla & land rover last week...
vosa say it's down to dvla as GVW wont be over 3,500kg
dvla say it needs plating by landrover

and the guy at land rover customer services says that they don't approve of ANY modifications to ANY of their vehicles!! ye REALLY!!!
