So when I fill her up,do I have to flip the lever to fill the side tank up aswell or does the main tank overspill into it?

You have the system with one tank under seat and the other at rear I take it
Ifb this is the case then you fill the front tank from under drivers seat, the rear tamk thru side filler at rear . The tap is only s switch over for selecting which tank to pull fuel from , and will also switch fuel guage to show what is in tank selected HTSH

Just lifted up the seat and there was the filler cap! Never noticed it before. Thanks.
