Hi, my drivers side front half shaft has stripped the splines and needs replacement. Im going to change both the half shaft and the drive flange but wondered if anyone knew what other parts will need replacing at the same time i.e. gaskets / oil seals etc.

parts list so far comprises:
RH Half Shaft - FTC3148
Drive Flange - FTC859

presuming yours is 300 tdi youd need cv stc3051 and drive member ftc859
tab washers ftc3179
gasket 571752
gasket ftc3648
fresh one shot grease stc3435

yeah it is a 300 tdi. thanks, so are you saying its stc3051 i need instead of ftc3148?

if its just the drive member splines then yes tdj000010 is later number for the same part about 13 quid

The half shafts on the front are actually the CV joint piece... It all comes as one piece. So you'll be renewing the CV joint at the same time... It means you're going "in" as far as the swivel housing.. Hence all the gaskets.
