Before anyone says it I have done a search but can't find the right symptoms so am asking

Just had a call from my wife. She can't start the 110 and is some way away.
From what I can gather. THe imobilizer light is out (but worryingly when you take the key away it stays out) The glow lights etc do come on but there is no life in the beast. Has been starting and running fine up till now.
Anything I can get her try right now or anything I can do to check once I get to the beast ? ANy suggestions (preferably polite ones ) would be helpfull

immobiliser cuts feed injection pump solenoid and earth to starter relay and feed to starter solenoid, spider unit is fastened to front wall of battery box

THanks - is there a way to bypass this or is this a job for the professionals?
My skill in this area are limited. Also any idea why the immobiliser light is out and won't come back on again ?

im no expert on immobilisers ,but do bypass quite a few for customers seems a common fault is easy job with a continuity tester ,i can tell you if needed

Thank. I am at work at the moment and won't get to it till later. Will have a look and see if I can work it out. If I get stuck will contact you.
Thanks for quick response.

I had the same issue last year - resorted to the RAC it turned out to be the trigger wire, the RAC man said that it is a common problem for the connector to break.

it's worth trying to give the fly lead (small wire) to the starter motor a quick wiggle.

Bypassing the immobiliser is a simple job if it is the spider gone down.

Thanks all. got the beasty going again. Looks like the battery in the fob had gone..
I took the spare set with me and after a few attempts suddenly it decided all was okay and started. Still not sure if it was luck or it is just temporary fix so will keep an eye on it.
Thanks again for the quick responses.
