Any condition. Ideally somewhere close to Warwickshire area.
Just want it because the jobsworth at our local tip has decided after 18 years that by removing the seats I've created a loadspace and now wants to charge me as a commercial vehicle.

What is it classed as on your log book?
M2( if I remeber) which is not commercial. You don’t carry anything for money(?)
Do you have side windows and it’s only seats missing?
I take it it does not have any business stickers of any sort on the side?

Just make sure you go down on his day off.

I think you could argue this tell the jobs worth to go get his manager and empty the back while he’s gone

I really do wonder if this country wants us to tip our rubbish responsibly. Our nearest tip was closed down over a year ago, 'to save money'. Following protests, we were told that there was another one only 24 miles away. For us, that means 9 miles to pass the closed one followed by a further 24 miles and then a full 33 miles return journey. A total of 66 miles!! No wonder fly tipping is rife.

It's a county station wagon, no dispute that it isn't a commercial vehicle, but their rules are very clear if any vehicle removes seats to create a loadspace they are not permitted. That applies to SUVs as well as 4x4s

So you can go with a 6 foot trailer , that's ok, but God forbid I have removed a bench seat . I just need one tatty bench seat to sit on the metal bit (don't even have to fit it )

3 loosely fitted child seats got me round the problem.(don't worry I don't use them) when I had a 110

I now also have a permit so if the que is long I drive round the back.
Use this 12times a year with the pick up

I've got just the seat cushions and nets from a 110 double cab rear bench. I'll post pics when I'm home if you want?

Ok sounds like they have started making up thier own rule these days. That’s sounds a jobsworth type rule to me. But am guessing your plan is the only way out.
I am sure there is a member near you that can help with some old stuff they don’t need that would help.
Even a couple of fold up ones as fitted in the back of our 90 would work by the sounds of it.

Would a couple of B&Q plastic chairs with the legs cut down do the trick :)

Anyway good luck.

What is their opinion on folded up rear seats. Surely that is a load space.
I used to have a Mazda Premacy which had removable rear seats. I suppose that wouldn't be allowed.

For me folded seats should be ok, as if you went in with a hatchback with the seats folded forward I am sure that’s allowed as seats are still there?

The Mazda well that would be a test for the jobsworth as it is standard for the car;)

I booked mine in the other week as its a pick up, guy was incredulous when I asked if he wanted my details. Said if there's seats in the back it's fine by me :D

That would be great,,thanks.
