Been thinking about getting a Landy flat bed tipper for a while....
I am not a motor/mechanic/Landy enthusiast... But I do know a single cab defender tipper with built in tool box ticks all the boxes for what I need... What I don't know is flat bed sizes(110?130?), payloads? Etc... I need the flat bed size to be minimum of 1.2 x 2.4 & need to be able to carry as much tonnage as possible.... You lot seem like a knowledgable, passionate lot any advice & info would be much appreciated....

Hate to admit it,but Ferkin BoB is right,I've just finished servicing a 130 Puma engined job with a tipper body.Bloody noisey, cramped and generally a punishment truck.I'm only 5'7" and not overly lardy, yet I struggle to get in without banging my knees, and its downright uncomfortable once I'm wedged in it....

Sprinter is heavy. Payload not so good.

I had 11 plate 190bhp one and it returned 16mpg on bf goodrich mud terrains.

4x4 sprinter tipper? That would need converting to a flat bed tipper right? Had a quick google & not much comes up?
As for a 7.5ton truck, i wish I could but.... I live in a fishing village in Cornwall! When working on big jobs with lots of space I try to get 10ton deliveries of all my aggregates. But lots of jobs are small difficult access (which has put me off the 90 with trailer I used 'up country')... lots of wet hills, off road jobs & running around with no load on or would of gone for cabstar tipper (because of size & payload)??
Open to suggestions... Thanks for the feed back so far.
