Hi - I'm trying to mount the inertia seat belt that I've bought for my 109 Station Wagon but am not sure how it's mounted.

I think that this is the part I need

but not sure how that plate mounts. Does it go inside the mini bulkhead that's behind the front row seats with the inertia reel bolted through the bulkhead metal? Hope that makes sense!

Thanks

That doesn't look like the set up on my 109. Have you looked in the parts book? ADU710110. LH / RH are the usual top brackets. The reel goes on the tub top by your shoulder on the bracket that holds the hard top on. You need a very long belt to fit it low down on the bulkhead. The centre belt reel goes lower down but the shoulder bracket is also lower - mine is on a 2" rise on the bulkhead. I've just looked on e-bay and there is a second hand bracket like the one in your picture but I've never seen another.

The 110 sw seatbelt fits like the one in your pic, don't know about 109.
Reel plate fits to rear of mini bulkhead on my 110 SW.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I spent ages looking in the parts book but couldn't find anything 109 Station Wagon specific. It's from page 2J-15 onwards. There are some parts that say "everything apart from 109 Station Wagon" but nothing 109 SW specific :D

I did find some bits in the Optional Equipment catalogue, which includes the top mount but can't find anything that looks like the bottom mount, or like it would work properly!

I know the part you mean (ADU710110) but there's no space for that in the station wagon 109 because the second row door is where the upper mount would go, so it uses the smaller, vertical one.

Thanks - when you say the rear - do you mean, kind of underneath (so visible if you're lying under the Landy?). I figure I need to drill a hole for the securing bolt, and one for the rivet that holds the plate in place.

OK I understand now, yours is 4 door and mine is 2. The orginal seat belts in mine would not be inertia reel but would be a fixed lap belt and a fixed shoulder/lap with the buckle. Centre would be lap only with no shoulder. I think they would all be on 7/16 UNF bolts with the rings (320639)??. The fixed lenght belts are much easier to anchor and i suspect that's why there are no inertai reel mountings in the parts book. My reels are at shoulder hight on specially made brakets.

No, the reel mounting plate on a 110 (for the front seat) fits inside on the rear face of the mini bulkhead ie Infront of your feet if you're sat in the second row.

@109ReasonsToBeHappy
I've mislead you sorry:(
I was going off memory as my 110 wasn't available to look at, it now is.
The plate you mentioned does indeed fit from underneath, hole for bolt and another for a rivit.
The '''inside" brackets i was on about do fit where i said but are for the front middle seat only:rolleyes:
I've tried to take a pic for you but it's awkward, it basically fits above the toeboard support bracket, i can't get a pic of the inside because of fixed carpet.
That big nut you can see above the two smaller nuts is the reel mounting.

Thanks for for the follow-up post. Cheers Flossie. I'm clear on what I need to do now. The photo is really helpful
