I have recently bought a Series III LWB hardtop with non-original seats. I am 6'4" tall and find it a bit cramped in the driver's seat. Would there be more room for the driver if I were able to get original seats? I am in Australia. There are a full set available on Marketplace, apparently out of a Series IIA. Any ideas?

It depends how your height is distributed, I’m 6’4” and I start getting aches in my legs after
a while due to how the seats (“deluxe” seats) are angled more than anything

One of the things that really ****es me off.
People who junk perfectly good land rover seats and then stuff in the seats usually removed from some luxury car, and usually much too big to properly fit in the limited space available.
And they always appear to be so pleased with themselves for this amazing achievement.
Do you know anyone else with a standard 109 ?
Maybe you could try out the standard seats before buying some

While not over 6 foot I found the deluxe seats in the 109 I had were the best, better than ones in later coil models

I'm not particularly tall, 5'10, but have defender seats installed and have absolutely no issues doing 5 or 6 hour journeys in the Series.

Well, no issues with the seats, just the noise, speed and smell.
