Couldn't even touch the ferry fees for the delivery price quoted to midlands - then 800+ miles of fuel there & back. £250 sounds a lot but it's cheaper than DIY, half the price in fact.
I know the chassis worth saving, but just trying to see what they fetch becuase comes a point when you have to say is it worth spending a week removing the rest of the landy from it then having to get rid of all the leftovers (and bear in mind you get nothing for scrap here so still got the time & cost of carting it away)
when could possibly get the thing tractor & trailered away for nothing.
Hate doing it, but I'm skint, engines blown, suspension shot just couldnt possibly afford to fix it up.
Same thing with my rangey, had to reach that point of saying it's not worth trying to keep running any more, but at least with that it has some desirable bits i.e. new tyres, janspeed exhaust, handling pack which are all worth the trouble to salvage.
Poor old landy though the chassis & the safari roof are the only good bits on it worth saving :-(
