Hi hi,
Just got me my first Landy, a P reg 110 county, and attempted a front bumper removal, WD'd liberally, but 3 of the four bolts snapped off at the start of the thread inside the front of the chassis . Am I off to buy slitting disks or can anyone advise on another method? Btw bumper US

Common problem, the bolts end up corroded in the captive nut plate at the bottom of the leg. As bumper is US chop it off and gain access for removal of old plates. You can get a stainless bolt kit. I fitted a galvanised bumper on mine.

Every bolt you fit/refit always grease it, not that messy copaslip just ordinary grease.

If you look up underneath you will see the captive plates mentioned by tottot.

Thank you muchly

@Alternativegem , congrats on new acquisition. Now, Land Rovers...as per above invest in new tools [what's needed will become apparent as a new job needs doing] , a case full of GT85 and a Rothenberger Superfire 2 with mapgas for those difficult nuts & bolts.
