Hi

We live in Jersey (channel islands) and are thinking of buying a 2003 Freelander.

We currently have a Chrylser Grand Voyager (3.3L Auto) which just drinks the juice !!! This is the main reason for changing the car.

My brother used to own a Freelander and has said that the 1.8 petrol one he had drank just as much juice as our voyager does now.

I can't belive this to be true. I don't understand how a 1.8 manual could use just as much fuel as a 3.3L auto which is probably twice as heavy.

Would anyone know what the MPG of a 2003 1.8 petrol freelander is ?? as we live in Jersey this would mostly be town driving !

Thanks for any help

Thats more or less what the guy in the show room told us. But the 1.8 has to be alot better fuel consumption than a 3.3 auto right ??

I think we may have to leave it and find some thing else.

The main reason for chageing the car is to try and save money on fuel this does not sound like the thing we should go for !!!!!
