Petrol and matches, it's the most humane thing you can do to it, it's a 1.8.
On a more serious note, lets try the basics, have you got a spark, have you got fuel reaching the cylinders and have you got air getting to the engine. Try the fuel reset on the bulkhead.

I have a lovely recipe for napalm and can make a rather nifty explosive from 2 very common and easily available ingredients.
Not a drop of petrol involved

Ooh, do tell, we have a slitty car up at my mates farm that we pushed off the edge of the hill with a tractor , we where going to put aviation spirit in it and light it next time we go up, but napalm sound so much more interesting to destroy it with.

My engine froze up during the cold spell,seems anti freeze was'nt replaced last service.Tried to start it,nothing.Now that it has thawed out the engine turns over but is not firing.I would welcome any help.THANKS PEECEE.
Have you checked the usual suspects?
a frozen water pump can knock the belt out a fraction, so check the timing marks for the engine

For those needing the timing marks (PM sent)
Cam cover and engine splash shield (drivers side) will need removed.
Rotate crank pulley nut (22mm) with a socket wrench, until cam timing marks all line up in a straight line, reading EXHAUST - IN, EXHAUST - IN
The crank timing mark should be at 12oclock (looks yellow in attachment), NOT at the 5 timing marks at the 10ocloock position
