Was a pleasure. I hope it assists other Freelander 1.8 K owners out there even if they don't want to do the work themselves then even their non-Freelander specialist mechanics. My tip is that if you renew the head gasket on this engine without renewing the oil rail to the uprated one, then it will fail again. I did mine in 2012 on the same car as in that video but didn't change the oil rail. In March 2014, the head gasket lost clamping load thanks to the head bolts bolting in to the older rail, and coolant started to leak.
