wouldn't hurt to check the injectors
been a few tales on LZ hippo pages regarding bad idle vibes 'n faulty injectors
i use that 'diesel rhino' additive ( details on the page link )
( mainly 'cause i used the previous incarnation 'diesel aid' when running hgvs
( was well regarded by mechanics / drivers / contractors at the time
it provides lubrication .. added cetane .. cleans the fuel system ..
gets rid of water in the fuel .. and combats diesel-bug
also check the connector plug to the fuel rail sensor for dirt / corrosion
btw: i think td4 idle should be 780 rpm .. it will fluctuate up 'n down a few rpm
( can be checked with an odb gauge ..
( i use a 'scangaugeII' on the dashboard
~~~~~
hope the garage finds the problem
