Someone I know sent me a link to this article. Apparently David Beckham's son has been seen driving a Series 3. It is obviously a very badly researched article as they claim it's a "new" vehicle. However they do seem to correctly identify it as a Series 3 and not a Defender.

It looks like a nicely restored Series 3, But surely isn't worth £35,000 as the article claims.

I suspect 35000 to the beckhams is like 35 to the rest of us.

Lovely looking though

If it's completely rebuilt with new parts it could indeed easily be worth that. As in the price for a new vehicle. It looks pretty much in that category. If you can afford it people will pay the price.

The classic vehicle scene has been pretty much ruined by rich celebs and bankers. I've seen some ridiculous figures passing hands for really 'normal' vehicles (even Morris Marinas are worth a few grand now??)

Yes, prices have gone a bit mad. I could have picked up a classic Range Rover 2 door a few years back for peanuts. Would need to remortgage to buy one now .

I remember reading that this was because there are so few Morris Marinas actually left. Like any British car of that era, I would think most have now rusted away.

There are still plenty of Series 3s around. Although, with the labour costs for a full restoration to the condition in the photo, I can see how it could reach £35k.
