Does anyone know if a TD5 alternater will fit on a 200tdi, reason i ask is they are rated at 120amp and i need the extra for an inverter i'm fitting.

don't suppose you know what code and type it is? do you think it could run a 3kw inverter, i'm linking 2 leisure batteries together, with a 3rd battery for starting purposes. Cheers Lee

i got it from my local 4x4 place im sure its an all makes 4x4 alternator..i run 2 batterys and a split charge system and it works well for me

would that be a 300tdi alternater? surely i need more than 100amps
