I made one. You can get the core parts on line and weld up the steel frame. Or, if you know a ford transit garage, they might have one.

You need to open it up, all them bolts around the outer. Mark case both sides so it goes back in same place.
You tube "Britannica Restorations" for how to set it all back up.
But before going there can you see any welding on the bevel gears through the casing? Poke a screwdriver in and see if it is possible to turn those bevel diff gears.

The red Arrow gear seems to move freely but has limited movement because of the other with wich it interates.

So i opened it up and this is what i found. What would I need to do to "unweld" it?
Trying to remove the welds with an angle Grinder is not feasible? I like economical solutions!
 
If the PO keeps the business deal/promisse he Will hand me a parts Salisbury diff unwelded, so I might not need to buy new parts depending on condition...
Best you get a hold of the promised stuff ASAP.
Should really have been in a box in the back when he sold it to you, cos we all know what happens to promises once money is handed over and customer gone, sadly.

But that would be nice if it happens.
