Hi

I originally wanted to post the question about the dashboard fittings. I found this photo of an original 3-door interior that has a very tidy and useful storage area where the crap cup holders are on mine. Are there different centre configurations on the newer vehicles out in the wild? (that I might be able to swap in....if I could find one..) I have a 06 facelift so I expect the options are limited.

After looking at the interior photo for a while, I see that there are some other Freelander Essentials that I could probably get more easily
Wilson tennis raquet.. June '97 issue of Neon mag ..... Sony Discman D-121...
Can't believe I've been driving it for a year without!

Ha. Like it, although I'd just like to say, I think the double cup holders on the dash of the facelift FL1 are the best cup holders in any car I've ever had. Very secure and accept decent sized drinks recepticles, and they are not flimsy fiddly pop out things that look like they could break easily.

From time to time I thought about cup holders, I have the rectangular tray thingy. I eventually concluded that the tray is a better option for me. I've made my own cupholder in the driver's door pocket by pushing in a plastic pottle. Not exactly classy - but it does work! The original bottle holder still is in use with my smallish water bottle.

Other added items: I bought a centre arm rest with its lidded cubby - very useful and comfortable. A small mod' needed to attach it though. I also added a red LED to that cubby to light up the centre console, helps me find switches ... at night.

A passenger sun visor with the illuminated vanity mirror is a nice touch too.

My interior rear view mirror has a rev camera screen in - pretty handy. Others use one from the MGs which has downward lights in it - also handy!

If you are really keen you could look at adding a tire pressure monitoring system. I bought one off AliExpress. - See pics below :)
