Thinking of upgrading my house alarm to Texecom Premier Elite 24 because it has an optional interface allowing you to connect yer alarm to wifi or ethernet. A phone app can be used to remotely set, unset and monitor the alarm via the internet. I can't find an example on the web of how the phone app reacts to the house alarm being triggered. I think it provides a 'notification'. Does the app make a noise to alert you to the alarm being triggered? Does anyone have said system and can advise?

I not familiar with the Texecom product, but does it feature a wifi or ethernet link to you broadband router, if so and you have the compatible app on your device and connected to the internet you will be able receive an an indication of an alarm condition.
Also depending on the functionality of a Texecom control panel and the app you can set and unset the system, perhaps have indication of the panel status ie. alarm condition, alarm cancelling also isolation of zones, panel faults etc.

Apps don't make noise but your device will/should when it receives a Text of an alarm condition.

Just googled Texecom Premier Elite 24 and I see its a basic panel, I haven't looked at the engineers install manual or the user manual but somewhere the should be the information u require or not.

If not then there’s standalone devices around that will send a message when there's an alarm condition, nothing more.
