Perhaps someone can help me with this, not an issue but curious what the forum has to say....

When driving I have bit of what I would call slack in my drivetrain. The bite point for my clutch that I adjusted works well.

However, I get a bang. I compensate this with a little bit of a higher rev. I try to keep the truck at 1200 rpm city driving to save fuel. 1400 will not give a bang. Is this a matter of me doing poor shifting or from what a friend told me; I may have an a-frame ball joint issue. change the rear half shafts last year because they did start to space out between the splines. easy job

The noise comes from the rear. The rear prop shaft has a bit of slack but how much is too much..... In 4wd this does not happen and the Truck has no issues.

here is an example:

Green light.... I take off from 1st, then 2nd, as I am switching to 3rd (that brief second there is drag from the wind and no acceleration so I'm coasting), put it in 3rd, clutch bites (no issues) give it a bit fuel, BANG!

Feel like this my driving but still this should all be tight. I hope it's the aframe.... pushed pulled everything on my propshaft and diff, all is tight aside from the propshaft rotation which I know should have some

someone just tell me to drive at around 1400rpm and pay the extra in fuel lol haha

What do you mean the rear propshaft has some slack but how much is too much?
Take it off and drive without it and see what happens.
