Comment probably applies to any modern car, all disposable just that some cost more than others.
LR lost the plot decades ago, but to be fair they have to design/build what the market demands in order to stay in business.

Q. if JLR built a 'real' LR now how many would find buyers?
A. just old farts like me who vaguely remember when their products sold world-wide. In far flung parts of the planet the first vehicle people ever saw was a LR festooned with roof-racks & jerry cans.
