Hello all is there anyone could tell me how to mount this rack please

Or if you could let me know if i'm going to be able to master the Dashing White Sargeant and complete some flawless Weasel Reels or Petronella Turns later this year ....

You could of course help by telling us what car you want to fit this too.
What the roof-rack was previously fitted too.
Where you are in the country,
and post photo's.

Ok I am terrible at writing posts and always miss most of the important facts.
It is getting fitted to a 1989 110 defender.
I believe it was fitted to a 110 defender but I cannot work out how unless I drill the gutter.

Yes, the roof racks fit to the gutter as this is where the strength is ....

Your picture (of the mounting clamps) looks entirely wrong.
I would not reccommend that you drill the gutter, that is a recipe for disaster ..

Not my car, just an eample of the style of clamps you need.

Agree there should be clamps to attach to the gutters, no drilling involved.

Thanks for replies but trying to find clamps is a pain I was hoping someone on here has same style rack to give me better idea

I had the same style rack fitted to my 90.
It does indeed require gutter clamps.
There may be further images on my hard drive, i'll check after work and get back to you.

That's similar to how I remember my brownchurch rack fitted.

Looking at the OPs photo there doesn't appear to be anything on the legs to attach the gutter clamp part to?

That is going to by my comment. The clamps are available to buy (LINK first hit on google) but when I needed some for mine i contact brown church direct and ordered from them. but this looks to be missing the mount on the roof rack leg for the lamp to bolt through. I believe some early series roof racks bolted directly to the gutter but that is not something I would want.
