I've reluctantly started to give Leylandi series 3, some protection today. Last weekend I used a wire brush on a drill and white spirit to remove old waxoyl then jetwashed.
I used Jenolite rust converter and 2 coats of Buzzweld chassis in one then filled the cavities with Bilt Hamber Wax.
A horrible job but hopefully it will slow down the rust.

I know you have painted the outside of the chassis but I would still cover the external with a chassis wax as well. I like dinitrol personally as it actually "dries" rather than remaining wet like waxoil.

I've used Dinitrol before on a Peugeot 205 and it was very good, it gave a nice smooth black finish.

Aye, does actually. Did the old man’s gaylander with it when he got it new in 2012 been doin his same time as mine every year and it’s the same, fresh underneath. Nae worries.
