Correct the A is for the 2nd turbo but if there is a problem with the MAF'S there is a fault code. Without a fault code probably they work well.No A it has 3 wires and No B 4 wires.
Thanks for the confirmation, okay so I went out, and I swapped out both MAF sensors for two spare ones, cleaned the hell out of the original MAP sensor with brake cleaner and cotton buds then electrical contact cleaner to flush it out and I also fitted a glow plug module, replacing the one currently there, took the car out for a drive, no smoke, no error codes and it drove REALLY well.
Oh and I forgot to mention, I ran the air path learn routine (otofix d1 pro-s) which recalibrates the throttle body and sensor settings because I replaced the parts above.
So the only thing left to test is that the car always goes into limp mode on the first start of the day if put under pressure within say 5 minutes of driving. I am hoping that the glow module swap out above and/or the fixes made to the intake system help with that, as I seem to remember seeing a daignosis table in the workshop manual saying potential glow plug issue which is why I swapped it out as above, if it is the glow plugs and not the module its a much bigger job so thought I'd try the module first!
Hope that makes sense, thanks to all for all your advice guys.
Will update on the cold start issue if it still exists tomorrow
