Mine but in 16".

Don't know what mine are called but they're strong and allow plenty of cooling to brakes. I see one of my spare set has gone missing?

16" is more forgiving on the potholes. A bit vague in the corners but the 18" are hardly precise.

My approach would always be to fit appropriate wheels, not pimp the old girl.
Fitted with factory option Stratos wheels and slightly oversize Geolandar tyres on receipt. Slight benefit with that size of tyre is the speedo is more accurate…

My spare is a Stratos. I suspect the original fitment from 1997, but when I bought it, she had similar wheel but from the Disco2 I think. A sort of Stratos with an extra furrow in the spokes.

I think I’m in the market for getting a used set refurbished and then swap them over so I’m not off the road.

I like Hurricanes myself.

I’m running AT2 tyres at the mo, and I think something a bit less aggressive would be better. I never really go off road.

I run 18" Hurricane alloys with Nexen Rodian M&S tyres, good wet grip, good ride and they seem to last well. No good for off road though.

No need for oversize: my speedo is perfect as it is.

The left-hand 5-spoke there looks a bit satanic. Might explain some of its behaviour?
