Haha! I wouldn't like to put it to the test Keith! I think it'd need a lot more than 2hp too! At least it's FOUR stroke! It's also let us down today. Needs a new plug. This is a friend's outboard...I've an identical one...well it USED to be identical until if fell about 8' out of a jackleg container. It's now a 2-piece 2HP HONDA! I also have a 2.3hp HONDA four stroke outboard for one of my inflatables. Surprisingly, it even pushed my 19' sloop against a significant incoming tide and against a force 7 headwind in Scarborough bay on it's first outing, getting us safely into the calm waters of the harbour. That's never let me down, nor attempted suicide from a height...YET!Gosh you have an amphibious P38? Mark would like one that floats![]()

I remember my dad servicing an old 20hp outboard before one of our family holidays. Engine was on the back of the boat, with the prop in a dustbin full of water, to cool the engine. Was all going fine until a neighbour asked what would happen if he put it in gear !! Def fast way to empty the bin & get a very wet neighbour !!
I usually just have a few herbal colon cleansing tabletsThat's how I flush the salt from mine.
How are your family doing John?Wow where do I start with that one![]()
