Hi, I've used the 'Bahuna's' ones of fleabay & they seem ok, the thing is they all seem to fail in different ways (I've had motors stop working,cables fray/break along with the nylon wheels). The one thing I have noticed on the Bahuna brand tailgate regulators are the glass clamps aren't as good as the genuine one so as it was only the cable that had broken I repaired the genuine one, just a broken cable, & removed the Bahuna one I'd fitted three months earlier. So depends what's wrong but I'd repair genuine ones if it's just the cable & the rest looks ok.

Are the doors on FL1 Facelift the same as FL2's would you know?

So it's a nice day outside and unbelievably I got a next day delivery of a complete regulator. I've lubed the rails, dropped the glass into the glass clamps and then went to actuate. Up? Slow and laboured. Down, weight of glass aids what is a nice smooth operation.
I'll lube the rails again and see how it is tomorrow. Any tips out there to ensure the closure is smooth?

Check the earths, the feed has to return cleanly to work well ...

I got 85ohms at the switch connector, so at 12V that's 140mA which doesn't seem too bad @Dippypud. Do you have a feel for what it ought to be in ideal circumstances?
I did check the battery, it seemed to be on the low side and it is cold today. So I put it on charge. I have refitted the new regulator assembly again (and again,
) after a full strip, greased it up and measured rail alignment to a mm. It still feels weak but much better as the battery voltage and capacity rises. So may be there's my answer, the battery is toward it's end.
