Hi all,

I’ve done a search on these awesome forums and can’t find a resolution to this issue.

L322 2006 facelift 4.4 v8 (Jag).

Reversing camera - when engaging reverse I get the reversing screen come up but most of the time it is black. Sometimes I will get a picture. I have gone into the onboard diagnostics menu on the infotainment system and the feed works OK from there all of the time. I’m not sure how to diagnose this as, if it works in the diagnostics, then it should work in reverse? When I put it into reverse the reversing lights come on.

I’ve recently bought the car so no idea if anybody has played with anything behind the stereo or with the camera.

Maybe the previous owner could actually drive and didn't need it.

Judging by all four corners having scrapes, perhaps it’s been faulty for some time!

No scrapes on mine and i don't have cameras.

The camera is known to give up, think powerfulluk did a how to video gooooogle is your friend on this.

Thanks for all your replies guys. I’ve seen the powerful videos (and all the awesome ones)! The thing which makes me hesitate about replacing it is that it works fine every time in the diagnostics menu. I’ll take it off and clean all the connections first and see if that makes a difference and let you all know.
