MOT picked this up, I haven't checked it out yet, I did rock the wheel while it was on the ground and there is play and I can hear a click when wiggling the wheel.

Possible causes?

I'm thinking swivel pins, there is quite a bit of play in there.

I'm not convinced its a wheel bearing.

So, if it is swivel pins what parts do I need? Its my daily drive and I can only do the work on the week end so i cant have it sat on the drive with the hub stripped down waiting for parts to arrive.

If you know the year of your landy you can preorder the parts before you start. But first get it jacked up and see where the play is.If hub then may be just a case of flange off and adjust the hub nuts.

No idea what year the axle is, I guess I need to jack it up tomorrow after work and see what is going on with it.

You can always check the axle number and hopefully that will help identify what is needed.

Cheers

Been down that road before, cant read the numbers, there is only two types of swivel pin, isn't there?

if you this type of oil seal retainer it has bearing 606666 top and bottom and only 3lb or preload

above is the rialko bush

You can have a fair bit of play in the upper pin without any grease loss in my experience.

10-12 lbs, looks like rialko type ,it could be wheel bearing as previously mentioned, seal in those pics is sealing particularly well

Thats what I'm thinking, unless its really dry in there, there was one shot in the hubs rather than oil.

when the swivel has weight on it unless theres a problem with bottom bearing seal is sitting where it should,if it had play in bush jacking wheel off the ground could show a leak with oil and grease if bad enough
