I have about 70 litres of mixed diesel/unleaded (probably 80% petrol) from me filling my wifes car up with the wrong fuel

Would it be ok to chuck it into my landy in small quantities mixed with my diesel to use it up as its a lot of money to throw down the drain.

Cheers.

I remember someone at work putting a similar cock up into buckets/tubs and then when the diesel settles on top of the petrol he just syphoned the diesel off the top, leaving the petrol in the tubs.

Mine didn't separate so I put it in landy about 25 to one till I used it up.
Petrol and water will separate

yes it'll work, just dont add too much :)

I get quite a lot working in a garage and use it to dilute the cooking oil :)

Thanks guys. What sort of quantities should I put in?? Couple of litres to every full tank of diesel?? Not brave enough to use cooking oil. I know loads of people do, but personally I always feel like it will naff up my engine so I have stuck with regular diesel. I dont do a lot of miles anyway so the benefits would not be great.

You can go up to about 10% petrol before you get starting problems,
you will get a reduction in power and MPG but not too much.
