Sorry if this is a daft question, but can anyone tell me what the bottom two switches each side of the instruments are. On the left the pictures look like going up/down hill and on the right...a mystery.

I don't think they are anything to do with the radio. The ones on the right are right below the rear washer/wiper switches.

They don't work on aftermarket head units unless the unit is compatable and has the correct interface lead.

There the head units remote controls. volume up and down. seek/search and waveband and if u have a multi CD-player it also controls the disc.
So 4 buttons in total, all this info is in the owners had book which u download as u don't have it.
