I have a T reg Discovery which has sat on my drive for a year while I save up to repair the cracked head. However we need to move it but can't start it as the immobilser is on. I have tried using the key lock code but it keeps bleeping to say that an incorrect code has been input. Is there any way around this?

Didn't you ask that in this thread?

As they said there, a newcomer to the forum asking how to get into a Disco usually won't be given any help! If you genuinely do own the car then as advised in the other thread go to a main dealer as otherwise his is a public forum and we don't want people knowing how to get into cars that have specified threads for them getting stolen so often :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Here's a thought, why not put the reg and Vin No and exact location up on here, I am sure someone will be round tonight and get it started for you..........Seriously.

I assume you are being sarcastic. Is this really any way to treat a new member? I'm sorry if I have offended you with my lack of knowledge - I was just trying to get help.

look at it from the other side-
a random bloke turns up wanting to know how to effectively nick a motor.
we don't know you, don't even know what area of the country your in.

might be more effective if you asked for local assistance, then if anyone does know how to do it, they could do it in person and verify at the same time that you actually own the motor.

understand you might be genuine and only trying to get help, no offence taken, but understand that internet diagnostics is a bit different to just dropping it at a garage.
not everyone will be here for the same thing.

Exactly what he said ^

You could be anyone wanting to take any Land Rover. We don't know you, what car you own you have no pictures of it, you are just a new guy on the forum asking advice but you could be a thief wanting to steal someone's car for all we know.

Pitchy, I'm afraid fella we just will not give out info like that on a public forum - it effectively allows scumbags to nick Landy's.

It ain't never gonna happen bud - best bet is as been said, contact a local dealer/garage/locksmith who maybe able to help you - of course, if they are worth their salt they'll want legitimate proof that you do indeed own the vehicle and are who you says you are.

I'm afraid you is stuck between a rock and a hard place mate. You are just gonna have to suck up the fact its gonna possibly cost you a few bob to get a local expert on the case.

Pitchy, if tell me where you are based and its close enough to my location Glasgow or Argyll, then I am willing to come to you with my Nanocom and try and help you out.
Free of charge

Why would you assume that I'm a 'fella'? Are only boys allowed to own Land Rovers!

well that answers a lot of questions don't it
still don't know where you are, if its been fixed, or if its still dead.

now we've got to assume we're talking to a 6'2" cross dressing troll.
ya don't really help us to help you do yer
