I'm thinking of installing a non return valve on my soon to be 200Tdi 110 (2.5 petrol ATM) as the fuel lines are kippered. The ones I've been looking at say Petrol or low pressure fuel system. I'll be fitting it as close to the tank as possible and running new 8mm copper lines from the tank on top of the chassis rail till it comes out through the bulkhead to the lift pump.

Will one of these be okay to fit?

yes mate, but get a larger size if you can so as not to restrict the fuel delivery.

I would put it so you can get to it easy, Sender access hole if it has one,or just before the lift pump or fillter under the bonnet,

But its your call :D

Surely if the rest of the fuel lines are 8mm that'll give the correct flow rate?

Do they actually need one?

yes the diameter might be the same, can you be sure the internal mechanism is as well.why do you think things like fuel filters are so big.to make sure you get enough fuel flow, not just to filter it.your choice mate.
