If it's brushes, regulator or Diode pack it's dead easy to overhaul it.

If it's brushes, regulator or Diode pack it's dead easy to overhaul it.

Complete kits for all the above and including bearings available on ebay for about £20 - £22. Straightforward job - done it myself. Pete

Parts are easy and relatively cheap, as already said re-build it - costs peanuts and doesn't take long or in the alternative find a local independent auto electrician and ask them to overhaul it - either way is cheaper than a new alternator.
