Just treated myself to some +5" shocks +2" front turrets and new rear shock pin/pin mounts, some say i will have to mod fuel filter others say not, anyone put terrafirma pin /pin mounts on a 2001 td5 90, did it need mods if so what.

fit it all then flex it out with your bigest set of tyres on then have a look, I guess the wheel may rub the filter ? then move filter if needed or adjust your bump stops to suit.
There must be a forklift you can use to flex ?

Didnt think about wheel rubbing, i thought the different mount was the problem.

Could be that, not sure on TD5 where fuel filter is, just remember you cursing in the rear wheel arch whilst trying to disconnect something from it

i have em on my td5, i ripped the fuel pipes out of the filter housing on a ditch crossing, simex must of hit the pipes,
but once fixed I could alter the angle of the pipes to make sure they clear
I think Glyn Lewis has a filter relocation bracket also

thanks for that, only using standard height muds so maybe ok. not planning anything extreme soon.

just remembered, terrafirma advised me to remove the shock absorber bush cups from the axles, as leaving them on can restrict articulation and cause the shock pin to snap,
this was after a warranty claim for 2 leaking shocks and 1 snapped, but to there credit they sent me 4 new ones FOC

Its not just the tyre size, the extra droop will change the angle of the up wheel/tyre making it rub the chassis/ body/ tub fuel filter, so best check first or you could be stranded.

oooh new suspension setup, we will have to find something to test it out on then, lane 7 might show it off!!

Won't be on by EMM laning day,

Done a couple of hours laning with Nick this morning around Dunmow couple of good lanes and plenty of flooded roads, then met up with Brian mickey and Dan followed some of the roads by the Chelmer excellent water fun. Most of the fords were well over 4' so gave them a miss.

Yeah I went past a few rivers today that are plenty swollen, there's more rain on the way as well, some dangerous fords, I wonder what the lower laying lanes are gonna be like...
