Quick question guys my 99 model has the earlyier headlights all silver ones, 2000 onwards has the black bezel tpe which i prefer, can the early ones be opened up and painted inside to match the later spec or are they totally different etc...

Anyone tried it ???

bloke here used a heat gun to open them up. Bit risky and messy as they're not supposed to be opened up. I would keep an eye on the online auction site for any that pop up. The link will eventually load to the area you want.

If you do it, whatever you do don't touch the reflectors they can be ruined in the blink of an eye.

well if it screws up, theres a guy on the bay of E selling them for £50 each at the moment. most are going for £100 each

and some "person" wants £600 for a headlight off the Ewok

yeah i seen the ebay ones to be fair so i thought will give it a go, i did some halo bmw ones on a M3 evo years ago and worked out perfect so cant be any different but ref the reflectors i will bear that in mind....
