ok just bought this new toy and i want to replace the front seats with recaro or sport type,although ive done it on my fender and found it fairly straightforward i aint done it on a disco yet so has anyone done it and got any pics?

ive searched but couldnt find fookall

Kin ell I've been in that car!

Used to belong to one of the marshalls from park wood/tong off road centre

He gave me a lift when my swivel ball sheared off and we put it on a transporter.

Was a lovely bobtail job, very good looking car.

I would say remove seats from subframes, test fit buckets for height/position and make up brackets.

Am considering it myself, just nt sure if they will be more trouble than they are worth, and literally a pita!

I'll check if I have any pics of mine, as it had bucket seats on.

but if I remember right, the bucket seats were bolted to a square of chequer plate and that bolted to the frame

probably doesnt help but you cant just about see the plate where the seats are bolted to, then the plate was bolted to the frame

I did similar to put RRC seats in. I made up frames with angle iron.

Been looking into similar things, fancy a nice and comfy seat on the drivers side of my 300TDi, i'd love a pair of Corsa VXR/Audi RS4 Recaro's but not spending £600 for a pair of seats!

Fancy a nice Recaro or Bride seat though at some point

I don't know the proper name but they are light tan (beige!!!). You can tell the colour of my interior from the attached pic
